Hypothalamus releases a hormone commanding the pituitary to produce Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH); ACTH to the adrenal cortex to release aldosterone & cortisone; Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) for metabolic rate; Luteotrophic Stimulating Hormone (LH) for ovulation, estrogen release and testosterone; melanocyte stimulation for skin pigmentation and sex drive; somatotrophin growth hormone by promoting protein synthesis, fat breakdown for energy, decreasing glucose utilization through deposition and insulin secretion; and to increasing bone growth.
